CWN Editor's Note: Archbishop Philip Wilson, whose conviction in 2018 on charges of concealing clerical abuse was later overturned on appeal, died on January 18 at the age of 70. Church spokesmen said that the prelate’s death was unexpected, although he had faced several serious health problems. He resigned his post as Archbishop of Adelaide in July 2018, after his conviction; at the time he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.
