    From the cited: "These senseless acts of violence and destruction". There is nothing senseless about this evil. Even in its present debilitated state, the Catholic Church remains the ultimate temporal warrior in the battle between alignment with the will of God and evil. Thus it makes perfect sense to expect the enemies of God to assault the institution from both inside and out. Grace must be abounding in the current age because the attacks are just as dedicated from inside as they are from out.
