Pope meets with Serbian, Czech leaders

Pope Benedict XVI met with Serbian President Boris Tadic and Czech Prime Minister Jan Fischer in separate private audiences on November 16. In his meeting with the Serbian leader the Pontiff highlighted the "positive dialogue with the Orthodox Church." He spoke with the Czech premier about challenges in bilateral relations between the Czech Republic and the Holy See. With both visiting political leaders, the Pope spoke about Europe's future and the importance of preserving the continent's Christian heritage.
