    Basing my opinion on the news out of China since the advent of the Provisional Agreement published 22 September 2018, how does post-Provisional Agreement China promote Catholic unity by persecuting first Catholics in the "underground Church," but Communist-compliant Catholics as well? The Communist-compliant Catholics are undergoing severe persecution, but the "underground" Catholics are being wiped out: parishes destroyed, bishops exiled and imprisoned, confinement to reeducation camps, etc.
