Pope Benedict seen as 'liturgical pluralist'

Writing in the Wall Street Journal, Francis X. Rocca makes the interesting observation that Pope Benedict XVI, with his move to welcome Anglicans into the Catholic fold, has shown himself a 'liturgical pluralist.' The Pontiff, Rocca explains, is willing to allow and even encourage different liturgical traditions-- provided that they are legitimate traditions rather than novelties.
