Cardinal Kasper publishes new book on ecumenical progress
October 15, 2009
The president of the Pontifical Council for Christian Unity has published a new book describing his ecumenical efforts and sketching a blueprint for progress toward Christian unity. Cardinal Walter Kasper's book, Harvesting the Fruits: Basic Aspects of Christian Faith in Ecumenical Dialogue, concentrates primarily on relations with the Protestant communities. At an October 15 press conference in Rome announcing the appearance of the book-- which is published from London by the Continuum press-- the German cardinal said that the work is "the result of two years of intense efforts I undertook with officials of my pontificial council, in collaboration with our consultors and ecumenical partners."
