Vatican admonishes Italian priests in Englaro case Facebook Twitter September 10, 2009

The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF) has called for disciplinary action against 41 Italian priests who signed a public statement endorsing the removal of food and water from comatose patients, the LifeSite News service reports. The CDF reportedly instructed the bishops and religious superiors responsible for those priests to "call them to order and possibly punish them" for taking a public stance in favor of a policy tantamount to euthanasia.
