President Obama delivers eulogy at Senator Kennedy’s funeral Mass

Paying tribute to Edward Kennedy as “the heir to a weighty legacy; a champion for those who had none; the soul of the Democratic Party; and the lion of the United States Senate,” President Barack Obama delivered a eulogy in honor of late senator at the conclusion of his August 29 funeral Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Basilica in Roxbury, Massachusetts. Cardinal Sean O’Malley of Boston, who was neither a celebrant nor the homilist at the Mass, spoke the prayer of final commendation.
