In Buenos Aires, future Pope Francis backed work defending accused priest-abuser

CWN Editor's Note: While serving as Archbishop of Buenos Aires, the future Pope Francis commissioned a four-volume study defending a priest who had been accused of sexual abuse, AP reports. Although in theory the expensively-produced study was for internal use, the volumes were delivered to judges who would be hearing the priest’s case.
