Cincinnati archdiocese opens outreach programs for Catholics in irregular marriages

August 20, 2009

The Archdiocese of Cincinnati has begun an effort to reach out to Catholics who have become estranged from the Church because of irregular marriages. Coadjutor Archbishop Dennis Schnurr has scheduled a seires of talks under the general title: “We Miss You.” He explains in an open invitation: “I cannot offer you instant solutions or miraculous cures for problems or difficulties arising from previous marriage bonds. I do offer my sincere care for you in an effort to look at ways that may eventually lead to reconciliation for you with the church.”
