Sisters of Mercy among sponsors of Obama talk-radio call on healthcare reform
CWN - August 19, 2009
In an effort to increase support for congressional healthcare legislation amid growing public skepticism, the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas and three other Catholic groups have joined over 30 religious organizations in sponsoring an August 19 BlogTalkRadio appearance by President Barack Obama. The show begins at 5:00.
The other Catholic sponsors of the event are Catholics in Alliance for the Common Good, Catholics United, and Network - A National Catholic Social Justice Lobby. (“Catholics United” should not be confused with Catholics United for the Faith, an apostolate founded in 1968 to support, defend, and advance the efforts of the teaching Church.)
