Korean bishops decry acceptance of euthanasia

The Catholic bishops of Korea have warned that the people of their country are being encouraged to "unconsciously accept euthanasia" under the guise of "death with dignity." Bishop Gabriel Chang Bong-hun of Cheongju, who chairs the Korean bishops' committee on bioethics, made his statement in reaction to two recent cases in which courts have approved the removal of feeding tubes from patients.
