New Vatican rules for relics

CWN Editor's Note: The Congregation for the Causes of Saints has issued new rules for the handling of relics, reinforcing the ban on any sale of relics. The rules are a response to increasingly common online sales—many of them fraudulent as well as illicit.
The new rules also alert Church authorities to the need for obtaining proper approval from family members before making plans for remains of candidates for beatification or canonization.
