Retired Vatican cardinal lauds Obama’s ‘humble realism’ on abortion, other issues

In an article in 30 Giorni, Cardinal Georges Marie Martin Cottier-- the Swiss Dominican who served as the Theologian of the Pontifical Household from 1990 to 2005-- has offered an extremely positive interpretation of President Barack Obama’s remarks at the University of Notre Dame on May 17 and in Cairo on June 4.
