Muslim rioters attack Christian homes in Pakistan

Mob violence has struck Christians in a village of Punjab, after a Muslim cleric charged that Christians had violated Pakistan's blasphemy law. The rioting-- which in practice seems to have grown out of a private dispute between a Muslim and a Christian-- led to attacks on several hundred homes. Christians were beaten, houses were damaged, goods stolen, and cars destroyed before the rioting ended.
