Pope unwelcome in Ireland?

A majority of Ireland's people do not think Pope Benedict XVI would be welcome as a visitor to their country because of the uproar caused by the "Ryan Report," according to an unscientific survey conducted by the NewsTalk Nation radio team. Among the 1,108 who answered a NewsTalk survey, 52% said that Pope would not be welcome. The poll is regarded as unscientific because the answers did not come from a random sample. The "Ryan Report" revealed widespread abuse of children kept in Church-administered institutions during a period from 1930 to 1990.
