While reading the cited article, I did not run across any serious gratitude for Trump's full-force drive to return religious liberty to the U.S. It seems the best that Cardinal Wuerl could come up with is a lukewarm acknowledgment that something in the aether might at some future time provide a small boost to the bishops' Herculean thrust to smite the shadow produced by the man not too good to impeach. While the Western bishops squabble, the Orthodox Church just keeps moving Russia forward.
