Pope renews appeal to support Christians in the Holy Land

Pope Benedict XVI underlined the importance of supporting the Christian population of the Middle East, at a private audience on June 25 for the Reunion of Organizations for Aid to the Oriental Churches (ROACO). The Holy Father issued an appeal for "no more war, no more violence, no more injustice" in the region. He emphasized that "the universal Church remains at the side of all our brothers and sisters who reside in the Holy Land."
