Buttiglione criticizes ‘filial correction’

CWN Editor's Note: Italian philosopher Rocco Buttiglione says that the “filial correction” accusing Pope Francis of encouraging heretical beliefs is “not the correct method” for engaging a theological argument. “They do not raise objections, they do not argue. They judge and condemn,” Buttiglione said. He also complained that the “appeal” gives an inaccurate presentation of the Pope’s teaching.
