Additional evidence that Hitler plotted to kill Pope Pius XII

The 72-year-old son of a Nazi colonel has said that Adolf Hitler ordered the Third Reich’s security office to kill Pope Pius XII in retribution for the overthrow of Fascist leader Benito Mussolini. At a meeting at which the Nazi colonel-- who was secretly involved in the resistance to Hitler-- was present, the head of German counterintelligence, who also was involved in the resistance, revealed the plot to the head of Italian counterintelligence.
