Federal judge: Colorado diocese must turn over file of accused ex-priest who committed suicide

A federal judge has ruled that the Diocese of Pueblo must turn over its files on the late Andrew Burke, who committed suicide in 2005 after being accused of committing abuse decades before. According to a police report, Burke said he had a “psychosexual behavior disorder” when he sought laicization in 1973; he later became the Colorado Mental Health Institute’s director of social work.
