Papal message to forum on migration, development

Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican’s Secretary of State, sent a message in the Pope’s name to the 9th summit of the Global Forum on Migration and Development.
The summit took place in Dhaka, Bangladesh, from December 10 to 12.
In the message, the Pope spoke of “the urgent need for an authentic global leadership at the level of managing the international economy,” as well as “the need for disarmament, food security, and peace, and the need to protect the environment and to regulate migration.”
