Nigeria: church collapse kills 160

A Protestant church in Uyo, Nigeria, collapsed during its first worship service, killing at least 160.

Commenting on the collapse of Reigners Bible Church International, the Associated Press cited Nigeria’s “endemic corruption, with contractors using substandard materials and bribing inspectors to ignore shoddy work or a lack of permits.”
