Australian Catholic, Anglican dioceses sign ecumenical pact

The Anglican diocese of Brisbane, Australia, has joined with the Catholic (arch)dioceses of Brisbane and Toowoomba in an ecumenical covenant, pledging cooperative efforts as well as theological consultations. The covenant calls for combined reflection on pastoral challenges, consideration of joint use for some church properties, and an annual ecumenical "Service of Reconciliation."
