Priest: fabric of family life being shaken in India

Many of India’s Catholic families face challenges from alcoholism and lack of prayer, according to executive secretary of the family commission of the nation’s Latin-rite bishops.

“I have noticed that the fabric of family life is being shaken in India in general,” Father Milton Gonsalves told AsiaNews. “When a family does not experience the power of grace and prayer life, family life deteriorates gradually and steadily and faces many dangers and challenges … We have been making concerted efforts to pastorally guide families.”
