Buddhist leader meets with Pope

Pope Francis received the leader of Tendai Buddhism in a September 16 audience, according to the Holy See Press Office.
Koei Morikawa, 91, became the 257th Tendai Buddhist head priest in 2015. The founder of Tendai Buddhism, which is based in Japan, was Saicho (767-822).
