Disabled Indian woman killed for alleged disrespect of Sikh text

In India's Punjab region, a Christian woman with severe intellectual disabilities was killed by Sikh militants who thought that she had descrated their sacred text.
Balwinder Kaur died on September 11 after she was dragged from her home and struck repeatedly on the legs with an axe. She bled to death, slowly and painfully.
Bishop Franco Mulakkai of Jalandhar said: "All the evidence indicates that there is persecution in Punjab."
