Bishop Aquila on Notre Dame: Planned Parenthood would never invite Pope to speak

Appearing on FoxNews, Bishop Samuel Aquila of Fargo discussed his opposition to the University of Notre Dame’s decision to award President Barack Obama an honorary degree. “It certainly is perceived by the average layperson as condoning or giving an appearance of supporting his ideas on human life and the unborn child,” Bishop Aquila said. “Certainly NARAL or Planned Parenthood would never invite Benedict XVI, much less extend an award to him.” Bishop Aquila revealed that university president Father John Jenkins, CSC, had not responded to a letter criticizing the invitation.
