Vatican signs accord with Central African Republic

The Vatican has reached an agreement with the Central African Republic, establishing the legal status of the Church in that country.

The "framework agreement" was signed on September 6 by Archbishop Franco Coppola, the apostolic nuncio in the Central African Republic, and the country's foreign minister, Charles Armel Doubane.
