At Rimini meeting, exhibiter covered statue of Virgin because of fears of Islamic attacks

At the annual Rimini meeting organized by Communion and Liberation, a bookseller reports that she placed a cloth over a statue of the Virgin Mary "to avoid clashes" because of the fears of Islamic extremists.

Francesco Curridori, who represented the Shalom publishing house at the Rimini meeting, told television reporters that organizers of the Rimini meeting did not require her to cover the statue, but she decided to do so "because if anything happened, I would feel responsible."
