Papal advice for newlyweds

July 29, 2016

Pope Francis offered some advice to newlyweds during a public appearance on Thursday evening, July 29.

Speaking from the window of the archbishop's residence in Krakow, where he is staying during his visit to Poland, the Pope told young couples that they should "never finish the day without making peace." He urged them also to pray together and to pray for other families.

The Pontiff praised young people who take the bold step of making a lifelong commitment. While acknowledging that family life can be difficult, he said that it is "something so beautiful, so beautiful that we must preserve it, because it is forever."
