Lebanese prosecutor names three suspects in 2013 kidnapping of Orthodox nuns

A Lebanese prosecutor has issued warrants for the arrest for three Syrian men who are suspected of involvement in the kidnapping of 13 Orthodox nuns.

The nuns were abducted from St. Tekla’s convent in Maalula, Syria, in December 2013, by members of a Syrian rebel faction. They were released in March 2014, in exchange for the release of women in Syrian who had been imprisoned by the Syrian government.
The three men charged with the kidnapping have already been arrested on separate criminal charges for their involvement with a terrorist organization.
