July 14, 2016

Irish nuns from two religious institutes are choosing to remain in South Sudan despite the dangers from the escalating conflict there.

Members of the Sisters of Loreto are taking care of nearly 700 schoolgirls in Rumbek, while the Franciscan Missionary Sisters for Africa are helping serve 12,000 people who have taken refuge at the cathedral in Wau, The Irish Catholic reported.
