Seminarian drowns saving woman

A student at Mount St. Mary's seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland, is missing and presumed dead after he disappeared in the Arkansas River, after saving a woman from drowning.
Brian Bergkamp was among several kayakers who were caught in rough waters. Bergkamp jumped out of his kayak to aid a woman who was being pulled under the stream, and was successful in saving her, but was unable to reach the shore himself.
