Christians increasingly under threat in Yemen

As the Yemeni civil war continues, the nation’s Christians, who numbered 41,000 before its outbreak, are “now being targeted with little hope of protection from a divided, dysfunctional, and deteriorating state,” according to a researcher for Human Rights Watch.
In addition to attacks on Catholic churches and the Missionaries of Charity’s home for the elderly, the researcher, Belkis Wille, cited the burning of Bibles in Taizz, the nation’s third-largest city.
