Poland’s prime minister meets with Pope

Pope Francis, who is scheduled to make an apostolic journey to Poland from July 25 to 31, received Prime Minister Beata Szydlo in a May 13 audience.

The Polish leader subsequently met with Archbishop Paul Gallagher, the Holy See’s Secretary for Relations with States.

According to the Holy See Press Office, topics discussed included the recent celebration of the 1050th anniversary of the baptism of Poland, the upcoming papal journey and celebration of World Youth Day, the family, refugees, and the crises in Ukraine, Syria, and elsewhere in the Middle East.
