Pope Francis: heed Our Lady of Fatima and pray for peace
May 12, 2016
Following his May 11 general audience, Pope Francis recalled that May 13 is the liturgical memorial of Our Lady of Fatima.
“In this apparition, Mary invites us once again to prayer, penitence and conversion,” the Pope told the crowds gathered in St. Peter’s Square.
“She asks us to offend God no more,” he added. “She warns all humanity of the need to abandon itself to God, the wellspring of love and mercy. Following the example of St. John Paul II, a great devotee of Our Lady of Fatima, let us listen carefully to the Mother of God, and implore peace for the world.”
