President of Central African Republic meets with Pontiff

Pope Francis met on April 18 with President Faustin Archange Touadéra of the Central African Republic.

During their brief conversation, the Pontiff thanked the African leader for the hospitality he had enjoyed during his visit to the Central African Republic last November. The two also discussed the country's struggle to recover from internal conflicts, and the need for international help to establish order and security.
