Pope, in video, emphasizes importance of small farmers

Pope Francis has appeared in a video designed to publicize his general prayer intention for April: “that small farmers may receive a just reward for their precious labor.”

“This earth is a gift from God,” the Pope said in the video. “It is not right to exploit it for the benefit of just a few, depriving the great majority of their rights and benefits.”

The video was produced by the Apostleship of Prayer.
