Italian culture minister suggests 'cultural itineraries' in Rome for Jubilee pilgrims
April 04, 2016
Italy's culture minister, Dario Franceschini, has produced a list of "cultural itineraries" for pilgrims visiting Rome during the Jubilee Year.
At a press conference last week, Franceschini introduced a program of twenty different suggestions that would allow visitors to sample Rome's artistic and historical treasures. The program was entitled: "The Ways of the Jubilee: Twenty Cultural Itineraries in Rome for Twenty Centuries of History, Art, and Religion."
Franceschini was assisted in introducing the work by Msgr. Liberio Andreatta, the head of the Vatican's office of religious pilgrimages; and by representatives of Rome's Jewish and Muslim communities.
