Peruvian prelate says support for pro-abortion politicians is sinful

A Peruvian archbishop has warned his people that support for politicians who support legal abortion and same-sex marriage is immoral.

"A Catholic cannot vote for those candidates," said Archbishop Javier del Rio of Arequipa. "It's a sin." He mentioned by name two candidates who have given their public support to abortion and the legal recognition of homosexual unions.

The fact that this is the NEWS, shows how far our culture has drifted away from Christ. Even the Bishops seem heroic or "controversial" when they tell simple truths of the Catholic Faith. We need profound and fundamental conversion.
