February 26, 2016

Father Raniero Cantalamessa, the Capuchin Franciscan friar who has served as preacher to the papal household since 1980, delivered a Lenten sermon on February 26 entitled “Receive with Meekness the Implanted Word: A Reflection on the Dogmatic Constitution Dei Verbum.”

The two main sections of Father Cantalamessa’s sermon, preached in the Pope’s presence, were “a God who speaks” and “lectio divina.”
