Italian senate approves same-sex civil unions

In a 173-71 vote, the Italian senate has approved legislation to legalize same-sex civil unions.

The measure passed after the bill’s sponsors removed a provision that would have legalized adoption by homosexual couples.

    Catholics in Italy supporting the family and opposing this legislation were abandoned by Pope Francis and most of the Italian bishops. Shame on them.
