500,000 venerated relics of Padre Pio, St. Leopold

Archbishop Rino Fisichella, president of the Pontifical Council for the New Evangelization, celebrated Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica on February 11 as the veneration in Rome of the relics of St. Pio of Pietrelcina and St. Leopold Mandic drew to a close.
An estimated half million people venerated the relics during their eight days in the city, according to a Vatican Radio report.
