Pontifical Theological Academy considers human dignity
February 02, 2016
The Pontifical Theological Academy held its biennial conference on January 28 and 29 at the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome.
The conference’s topic was the transcendent dignity of man in light of the covenant.
The academy, founded in 1718, is among the oldest of the pontifical academies that honor distinguished scholars. Pope Francis appointed Father Réal Tremblay, a Canadian Redemptorist priest who completed his doctoral dissertation under the future Pope Benedict XVI, as its president in 2014.
