Cardinal Marx meets with leading EU officials

Cardinal Reinhard Marx, the president of the Commission of the Bishops’ Conferences of the European Community (COMECE), met with two leading European officials on January 27 to discuss the continent’s migrant crisis.

The Munich cardinal traveled to Brussels to meet with Frans Timmermans, who serves as First Vice President of the European Commission, and Federica Mogherini, who serves as High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. The latter will attend the next COMECE meeting in March.
