President of Dominica meets with Pontiff

Pope Francis met on January 22 with President Charles Angelo Savarin of Dominica. 

A brief Vatican statement released after the meeting indicated that the conversation revolved around Church-state relations, the dignity of the human person, and education of the young. The Pope also spoke with the Carribean leader about environmental concerns and natural disasters.
