Top papal adviser acknowledges 'gay lobby' influence at Vatican

A top adviser to Pope Francis has acknowledged the existence of a “gay lobby” within the Vatican, and said that the Pontiff is moving to address the problem.
Cardinal Oscar Rodriguez Maradiaga of Tegucigalpa, who coordinates the Council of Cardinals that advises the Holy Father on Vatican reforms, told the Honduran newspaper El Herald that the Pope recognizes the gay lobby’s influence. “Little by little the Pope is trying to purify it,” he said.
The Honduran cardinal said that while the Church should reach out to provide pastoral care for homosexuals, Catholic teaching on human sexuality cannot change, and “what is wrong cannot be truth.”
“The natural law cannot be reformed,” Cardinal Maradiaga said.

Prudence and the appropriate means are up to the Pope so its not for me to question. I'm glad to hear such acknowledgement , especially as it comes from Cdl. Maradiaga, who always seemed very "progressive" in my eyes.

Little by little. Consider this example. You are a Marine in charge of security at an American consulate. Terrorists and their well-organized mob of chanters are firing on your compound. Your military orders are to protect American life and property, but your out-of-touch Commander in Chief orders you to surrender. But you don't know how to surrender because it's not part of your training or creed. Knives ahead of you; knives behind you. You must proceed with circumspection and due deliberation.

"Little by little the Pope is trying to purify it." That says a lot. Since what is wrong cannot be truth and natural law cannot be reformed, then why the delay?

'Little by little the Pope is trying to purify it'. Maybe, homosexual influence in the Vatican can be purified even a little more after climate change is vanquished in 2050. In the meantime, what's the harm?
