January 12, 2016

The Vatican's Secretary of State issued an expression of condolences on January 12 in response to a terrorist bombing in Istanbul.

Cardinal Pietro Parolin said that news of the bombing in the Sultanahmet section of the city, which killed at least 10 people, "pains us." He remarked that the violence, "which continues to repeat itself, confirms that the best medicine in the face of these evils is always mercy."
