Rome's homeless form audience for Vatican premiere of film about Pope Francis

The homeless of Rome received top-priority treatment as a new film biography of Pope Francis opened on December 1.
As Chiamatemi Francesco [Call Me Francis] made its debut in the Paul VI auditorium, the Vatican welcomed homeless people who had received free tickets through the office of the papal almoner. The Vatican provided bagged meals for those in attendance.
"To this exceptional premiere, the Holy Father wished to invite the poor, the homeless, refugees and the people most in need, together with the volunteers, religious and lay people, who work daily in charity," the papal almoner said.
